New Hope Elementary ranks in the top 10 among all schools for having the highest student proficiency. We also met our academic growth expectations, and our school earned a B school performance grade, which is a challenge to achieve on the state accountability and testing program.

In our latest “School People” series, we feature Emma King, a first grade teacher at New Hope Elementary. She now teaches in the same classroom where she was once a student, inspiring children as her teachers inspired her.

New Hope Elementary not only exceeded growth in reading and math but also achieved the second-highest student proficiency among all Gaston County elementary schools. Our students also excelled outside the classroom, taking first place in the Math Masters competition, being named overall champions in robotics, and earning first place in project presentation.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually. This allows us to provide care for students without them having to leave school to go to the doctor.
